Aiming to broaden community access, fisl12 will repeat last year's initiative, when some activities were translated to Libras. This year, several activities will be translated to Libras. For those unaware, in Brazil the first language (natural language) for the hearing impaired is the Brazilian Language of Signals (Libras), and portuguese is their second language. Libras is a space-visual language, and therefore need no hearing ability to be aquired. Libras is characterized by the shape of hands, movement, localization, point of articulation, that combine to form a single signal.
Those who may be interested in this translation shall send e-mail to fisl@softwarelivre.org after registration in the event's registration system. Information about enabled rooms and activities will be sent via e-mail.
